2. WHAT WE COLLECT
Information you give us
When you request a website preview through the form on this site, we collect:
- Business name and city
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Trade and country
- Your current website URL, if you have one
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps. These are used for security and to keep the site running.
Publicly available information
To build your preview we may look at information your business has already published, such as your Google Business Profile, your existing website and your public social media pages. We do not access anything private or password-protected.
3. WHY WE USE IT
- To build and send your website preview. This is the reason you contacted us.
- To reply to your enquiry and follow up about the preview.
- To deliver services if you decide to proceed.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam submissions.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are your consent when you submit the form, performance of a contract once you become a client, and legitimate interests for site security and responding to enquiries.
4. WHAT WE DO NOT DO
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not rent or trade your contact details.
- We do not send marketing to people who never contacted us.
5. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as far as needed:
- Netlify for website hosting and form submissions.
- Our email provider to receive and reply to your message.
- An analytics provider for anonymous, aggregated traffic measurement, if enabled.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
MaxFP operates across the United States, Australia and France, so your information may be processed outside your own country. Where personal data is transferred out of the EU or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
- Preview requests that do not become clients: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the duration of the relationship, plus any period required for tax and accounting.
- Server logs: a short rolling period set by our hosting provider.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Have it corrected if it is wrong
- Have it deleted
- Receive a copy in a portable format
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these, email info@maxfp.com. We will respond within one month. If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
9. COOKIES
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics we will use a privacy-focused provider that does not track individuals across sites. Your browser may store small amounts of data locally for basic site functionality.
10. SECURITY
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
11. CHILDREN
This site is intended for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
